This chapter seeks to offer a thorough understanding of the convergence between intellectual property and artificial intelligence. Considering the increased relevance of this subject in the legal sector, dynamic artificial intelligence and its interrelation with intellectual property—the very essence of a creator’s right protection, this chapter will explore whether artificial intelligence can have rights over intellectual property. It will use both descriptive and analytical research methodologies. The results of the research showed that artificial intelligence can be protected only when there is a human intervention process. As an immediate measure, the study advises that member states should initiate reforms in their national laws to curb the existing gaps in protecting intellectual property rights and recognizing intellectual property created by artificial intelligence technologies.
