This study intends to perform a comparative analysis of labor legislation, concentrating on the effects of unnotified job departures on the economic stability. It investigates the legal texts concerning wage reduction and the rights of workers to resign from their positions, as well as the mechanisms in place for safeguarding workers’ rights, with the objective of contrasting the practical applications of these legal provisions. Employing a comparative analytical approach, the study examined judicial cases related to wage reductions and unnotified departures to elucidate the interplay between labor legislation and economic policies in both countries. The comparative analysis revealed that while labor legislation encompasses similar laws aimed at protecting workers’ rights, disparities exist in their implementation. Specifically, Jordanian labor legislation offers superior wage protection, treating cases of wage reduction and unnotified departures with greater seriousness, thereby fostering stability within the labor market. Conversely, the clarity of Egyptian legislation regarding workers’ rights in instances of wage reduction is insufficient, resulting in adverse effects on economic stability. The research further indicated that departing from employment as a result of wage reduction has a direct impact on economic stability, resulting in diminished productivity and heightened labor tensions, which ultimately fosters an unstable economic climate. Judicial interpretations in both nations demonstrated that many courts regard leaving work due to wage reduction as wrongful termination, thereby entitling workers to compensation.

摘要
