The telling and knowing of history have changed much over time, from speaking stories to writing them down and now to using digital tools and AI. This chapter looks at how artificial intelligence plays a part in making historical stories. While AI tools can help make things easier to access and more interesting, they also bring up worries about the realness, truthfulness, and reliability of histories made by AI. The study uses a mix of methods, looking at people’s talks with experts in a thoughtful way and doing number checks on public polls to see how AI affects society and learning in telling history. It also compares written words to find differences between AI-made stories and past kept facts. The findings reveal the fact that AI is changing the making, use, and view of history; it brings chances for new things but also points out the need for strong checks and academic watch. This study shows how key it is to balance tech growth with keeping history right and culture true.
