Assessing the Impact of Digital Trading Platforms on High-Technology Export Volumes: A Case Study of Uzbekistan

The paper establishes the effect of digital trading platforms on the volume of high-tech exports in Uzbekistan, a country increasingly embracing digitalization toward higher efficiency in trade and wide exposure in international markets. In such transitioning to a digital economy, the contribution of such platforms will be quite fundamental in building specific export trends, particularly in the high-tech industry. The paper addresses the role of digital trading platforms in enhancing the competitiveness of Uzbekistan in high-tech products within world trade, analyzing the shifting export pattern and finding the determining role of key drivers of success in this modern digital environment. This is all done to various extents under the said research in order to reach an approximation of how much digital trade infrastructures enhance the growth of high-tech exports. The current study looks into trade flow data, platform usage, and technological integration for an overall understanding of how these digital tools actually spur export growth. This study also looks into some of the challenges high-tech exporters are facing today in Uzbekistan and possible ways in which digital platforms could help surmount these. The resulting findings laid the foundation for a set of policy recommendations geared toward maximizing the benefit of using digital tools for export performance. This includes suggestions on better digital infrastructure development, increasing the adoption of business enterprise platforms, and proper national policymaking aligned to the needs of the fast-changing digital trade landscape. This research is expected to feed into Uzbekistan's larger economic development process through enhancing its competitiveness in high-tech exports.
