Application of the Robot for Placing Entomophages in Fields to Combat Insect Pests
摘要
Agricultural enterprises and farms suffer from crop production losses due to insect attacks. Due to the widespread use of traditional plant protection technologies, the number of insect pests and their resistance to pesticides increases. Due to the agrochemical pollution, soil oxidation occurs, the amount of nutrients decreases, and, as a result, crop yields in plant growing worse. The aim is to find out the effectiveness of entomophages and the robot. We created a robot equipped with the tank for a suspension with entomophage eggs. We used predatory bug Perillus bioculatus, which exterminates Colorado potato beetle as an entomophage. We compared the results of using an agricultural robot with using a biological method of potato protection, as well as with traditional pesticide treatment. The economic effect of introducing the technology exceeds the use of pheromone traps and biological products, but is inferior to pesticide treatments.
