As this landscape evolves, the essence of data-driven decision-making becomes paramount, particularly for retailers. It is an essential shift in response to evolving consumer demands and broader societal pushes for zero emissions in transportation. Central to this discussion is Logistics 4.0, which underscores the need for transitioning from conventional methods to intelligent, evidence-backed decision-making processes. Using a Greek clothing company as a case study, this paper delves into the myriad of external factors, ranging from political to environmental influences, and internal business processes that shape logistic choices. Through in-depth interviews with executives and a comprehensive survey, the research team gauged the current state of logistics management in the Greek clothing industry, with a special focus on the noticeable absence of Business Intelligence techniques in some firms. Conclusively, a novel BI Decision-Making tool will be introduced, birthed from the BI&OX project, designed to support and streamline inventory, production, and transportation planning. This tool is pivotal for decision-makers, enabling them to test various scenarios and craft strategies that cater to company-specific needs, with applications from demand forecasting to intricate supplier evaluations.
