Employment, Labor Force and Productivity Growth—Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and China—An Asian Story of How Labor Landscape Is Evolving
摘要
In an era of ‘cognitive computing’ and AI, planners and policy makers can arguably debate whether both employment and productivity are moving favorably in the same direction or disruptions and deceleration are playing significant role that may need state intervention. Researchers are interested to know how the variables like employment, labor force and labor productivity are playing their roles currently at this stage of economic development particularly in the circumstances when extreme inequalities in wealth distribution is a major issue. The objective of this research is to have an understanding how employment, labor force and productivity growth are shaping the labor landscape of the above four Asian countries with special reference to USA.
