摘要

This research attempt to explore the long-term relationship between Malaysia’s property and equity over the period from 1994 to 2022 using the multivariate Johansen Cointegration Test. The findings report a strong long-term relationship between the property and equity market, hence, suggest that the property market in Malaysia seems to move in tandem with the stock market. The result carries significant implications for both short-term and long-term investors, underscoring the critical influence of the wealth effect in shaping the dynamics between property-equity relationships.
