Malaysia has accumulated substantial waqf assets, yet their potential is not fully realised, primarily due to challenges in generating adequate cash flow. This study seeks to develop a model grounded in two aspects of social entrepreneurship: creating sustainable business ventures and innovating products that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups can utilise to optimise these underutilised charitable endowment assets effectively. Employing qualitative methods, the research consists of three stages of analysis: desk research, structured interviews, and comprehensive data analysis. The primary goal is to uncover new insights and propose innovations through the emerging Equity Crowdfunding technology while integrating it into the Waqf-Equity Crowdfunding Integrated Financing Model. Data from the literature review and interviews are meticulously analysed to evaluate the model’s potential. The article concludes by discussing the inherent risks associated with implementing the model and offering recommendations for its evaluation, ensuring that it can be effectively adopted in practice.

摘要
