To further enhance the quality and standard of college English education, it is necessary to fully utilize modern and specialized teaching methods, leveraging computer information technology to establish a multi-interactive teaching model that promotes improved teaching outcomes in college English. This study, by analyzing the advantages of the prevalence of information technology and online resources, constructs a multi-interactive teaching model encompassing various aspects such as instructional guidance, curriculum design, teaching practice, and teaching evaluation, with information technology serving as the primary teaching tool. Taking 118 second-year English majors from University R as experimental subjects, 58 students were assigned to the experimental group, where the proposed multi-interactive teaching model was implemented, while the remaining 60 students served as the control group, receiving traditional teaching methods. By comparing the final exam scores between the two groups, the effectiveness of the information technology-based multi-interactive teaching model on college English teaching outcomes was validated. Through the comparison of scores between the two classes, it was found that the average score of the experimental group increased by 15.25 points compared to the control group, with a lower degree of dispersion in students’ average scores, indicating more stable performance. The English multi-interactive teaching mode based on computer information technology can significantly improve the quality of college English teaching.
