Cloud computing has become a popular paradigm due to the high-quality computing services offered at lower costs and with enhanced performance. Cloud computing has gained popularity because of its adaptable architecture, net-centric philosophy, and simplicity of use. The cloud computing paradigm’s extensive adoption is, however, being hampered by the fact that it is still unable to manage security vulnerabilities, which might subsequently worsen service quality and consumer data privacy. In this paper, we provide an overview of security challenges, including security risks and their solutions. The article seeks to analyze and group the processes behind the key security problems and potential fixes proposed in the literature. We conduct a parametric comparison of the dangers that cloud systems confront. In addition, we contrast several intrusion detection and prevention frameworks applied to security challenges. Moreover, examined trustworthy cloud computing and the systems in place to ensure that cloud service providers adhere to security regulations. We also outline the future direction of cloud security concerns and potential solutions because security methods are still developing.
