Synergizing AHP and Cooperative Information Systems for Effective Research Management

The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) has the potential to be a powerful decision-making tool in research management due to its systematic approach to analyzing complex problems and prioritizing alternatives based on multiple criteria. This paper investigates the application of AHP as a method for decision support in research management, focusing on its role in project evaluation, resource allocation, risk assessment, and partner selection. Additionally, the study explores the integration of Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) to enhance research management processes. Through a comprehensive review of literature and case studies, this research examines the conceptual foundations, methodology, and practical implications of employing AHP in conjunction with CRIS. The findings highlight the potential benefits of combining AHP and CRIS, such as improved decision-making processes, enhanced resource utilization, and effective risk mitigation in research projects. Furthermore, the paper discusses the strengths, limitations, and future prospects of integrating AHP with CRIS, providing valuable insights for researchers, managers, and policymakers.
