Thinking Hope in Times of War: Peace as a Realistic Utopia
摘要
Starting with the hope of obtaining peace, this endeavor continues to be a challenge for humanity, especially in complicated times in which wars have taken root in reality. To tread the path toward peace is a possibility and presents itself as a possible and realistic utopia through action. In this sense, thinking peace prepares us to think of other possibilities through constructions carried out by our diverse ways of acting. Thus, thinking hope is possible within the framework of a potential utopia. This question forces us to consider the philosophical debate between hope and despair, thinking about hope in terms of a feasible utopia through human action. Utopia opens reality and, from the impossible, shows its possibilities while making claims toward a praxis moved by an interest in the emancipatory character of firm ethical intention that allows us to glimpse glimpses of peace.
