Traditional initiatives for global learning, such as study abroad, are not accessible for many students due to financial constraints and other barriers; however, innovation that creates connection while remaining at home can help bridge the gap. Virtual exchange programs seek to engage students in project-based learning and expand their knowledge and skills as well as their cultural humility, which is outlined in this chapter.
