Introduction

In this chapter, we first provide an overview of crowdsensing, focusing on its evolutionary path, architecture, and applications. Then, we explain the importance of privacy in crowdsensing and analyze the associated privacy challenges from three dimensions: data utility, data privacy, and data poisoning. Finally, we outline the aims and organization of this monograph.
