Sub-Constructs of Management: Organization, Strategy, Governance, Leadership, Human Resource Management, and Culture
摘要
In this chapter the sub-constructs of management are analyzed, delineated, and defined. In brief, organization is defined as the deliberate design of unit and process structures that regulate the future behavior and decisions of a corporation’s members. Strategy is briefly defined as a business-period-related plan for achieving organizational objectives, which ideally includes contextual considerations and options for possible scenarios. Human resource management is briefly defined as a deliberate steering influence on people in an organization or an organizational unit with the aim of achieving organizational objectives through the generation of work performance. Leadership is briefly defined as either a mixture of agenda-setting and followership-building or a synonym for management. Organizational culture is briefly defined as the set of attributes the members of an organizational unit have in common.
