Climate cafés create a space for dialogue in the context of an informal, casual group discussion, hosted by non-experts in an informal setting. As climate anxiety begins to rise, climate cafés are popping up to create a space for youth to discuss and learn as a form of activism. This chapter presents the findings of a qualitative study which brought together youth (aged 18–30 years), to imagine a future in the face of a systematic threat such as climate change. Conceptually, this project draws on sociocultural psychological concepts of imagination i.e. social practices, agency, dialogue, individual/ collective imagination of the future, and practices of resistance and resilience.
