Enhancing Work-Life Flow Through Training
摘要
In today’s fast-paced world, it is more difficult to balance work life and personal life, meaning these boundaries are not very clear or set. This is challenging for individuals, and also for companies, which is the context in which work-life flow has been developed. One solution to support individuals and organizations on this topic is to develop training in competencies that may help build a more positive work-life flow. To that end, the Work-Life-Flow (WLF) platform was created, with evidence-based training materials to support the needs related to achieving a positive work-life flow. The platform was developed using the Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (Moodle), which is a cost-effective, user-centric platform that supports learning and development. The platform has ten different modules, which were especially chosen while considering previous research on work-life flow and the competencies that are relevant in this context. Each module includes theoretical development and concludes with a practical component, encouraging users to practice what they learned in the module. In the platform, users may also have an individualized learning experience as they are able to answer the WLF questionnaire and receive guidance on the competencies they most need to develop for an optimal work-life flow. The platform offers a user-friendly approach to developing work-life flow, where the user takes ownership of their learning process and may access the tool, guided by the results of the WLF questionnaire, or by their own choice, using the learning materials at their own pace and as their schedule allows them to.
