Mobility Metrics in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam: A Detailed Comparative Analysis
摘要
This study compares mobility patterns in three Saudi cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. Big Data processing and statistical modeling are used to analyze these patterns. Four key spatial metrics that describe human mobility are evaluated across different time scales. The results show similar patterns in all three cities, despite their geographical distance. However, there are notable differences. These may be due to variations in urban design, transportation, and economy. Riyadh has the highest overall mobility. Dammam sees high activity on weekdays, while Jeddah shows lower mobility. This research supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
