Biomedical Engineers are professionals who are at the forefront of developing new health technologies, both in industry and in hospitals. But how is the professional known in the job market? What are the areas in the job market that have the highest demand for Biomedical Engineers? The objective of this work is to identify where the professional is most sought in the Brazilian job market, for this, the Ideed employment platform was consulted in mid-February 2024. The evaluation of vacancies was carried out using an Application Programming Interface (API) in Python 3.11 and the Selenium library. Filters were made to perform the job vacancy selection, and the results were verified and classified in areas by three human reviewers. It was noted that, in this specific period, there was a greater job offer for this professional when compared to the November 2021 period. The largest number of vacancies were related to the areas of medical equipment and clinical engineering with approximately 45% and 20% of the total vacancies, respectively. The comparison with results from 2021 showed an increase in vacancies aimed at the biomedical engineering career and suggests an active search in the Brazilian job market for this professional profile.
