Multimaterial Classification for Dual-Energy CBCT: Phantom Study by Simulations
摘要
In this work we study the application of a multimaterial classification method in Dual-Energy cone beam computed tomography using photon-counting detectors. The results, obtained from Monte Carlo simulations using a phantom, indicate that, depending on the energy threshold configured in the detector, it would be possible to satisfactorily classify different contrast solutions simultaneously. However, the work reiterates the importance of a correct energy threshold choice based on the materials to be classified, as overlaps in the classification lines may occur.
