The bone marrow diseases are rare in dogs and cats, but certain illnesses caused by parasites that recur in clinical practice can damage bone marrow stem cells, leading to pancytopenia, as is the case with Ehrlichia canis. Of the therapeutic options for the treatment of bone marrow diseases, the use of stem cells has been reported as promising. The objective of this job was to report a case study of medullary hypoplasia induced by Ehrlichia canis infection in a dog using treatment with allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells derived from adipose tissue associated with Coenzyme Q10. After confirming the diagnosis in the dog, 6 applications of stem cells were infused, in the amount of 10x106 cells/mL, with intervals of 30 days between applications and blood tests were carried out to monitor the bone marrow response. It was observed in the red series that erythroid indices improved from the fifth application of stem cells, concomitantly with the application of injectable Coenzyme Q10 at a dose of 5mg/kg. It is concluded that, until the fifth session, stem cell therapy for medullary hypoplasia in Ehrlichiosis did not show significant results in this specific case. However, the association between stem cell therapy and Coenzyme Q10 demonstrated a positive and consistent effect on the recovery of the erythroid series. When administered together early, these therapies may show promise, resulting in faster marrow responses. Additional studies are still needed to validate this conclusion.
