Unlike subtractive and formatted manufacturing, additive manufacturing, especially rapid prototyping brings together manufacturing processes by adding material to parts from model data, generally layer by layer. There is a lot of slicing software that generates diverse infill tool paths or patterns. Part productivity is reduced by slowdowns that occur during filling, caused by the toolpath strategy containing discontinuities in the tool path. In this study, the dynamic behavior of a printing machine is modeled and a simulation tool, for filling trajectories and actual feed rates, is proposed to optimize the manufacturing process for complex-shaped parts. To do this, analytical models expressing the speed, acceleration, and jerk of a printer are developed. As a result, the diversification of CAM patterns in AM has affected important criteria for the printing operation of complex shapes such as the filling speed with other printing defaults. Certain patterns have penalized the dynamics of the machine, contrary to others.
