Global organisations face complex cybersecurity challenges that require robust, culturally inclusive strategies. This study addresses the need to understand cultural diversity’s role in strengthening cybersecurity practices, an area often overlooked in cybersecurity practice. We conducted a thematic literature review across 18 studies, focusing on publications from databases in cybersecurity and organisational behaviour. The study found themes of education and awareness, human and organisational behaviour, cybersecurity strategy, national culture in cybersecurity, and human-centric aspects. The findings suggest incorporating perspectives that enhance resilience, enrich cybersecurity policies, and support a collaborative and inclusive cybersecurity environment. The findings enable organisations to tailor and expand their strategies for each threat or attack from those identified themes.
