Exploring the Impact of Technological Defects on Polymer Composites in the Aerospace Industry
摘要
The aerospace industry is increasingly reliant on polymer composite materials (PCMs) to enhance the performance and technological capabilities of aircraft while minimizing operational and maintenance costs. This research investigates the impact of technological defects on the physical and mechanical properties of PCMs, aiming to identify preventive measures to enhance their application in aerospace manufacturing. The study categorizes various types of PCMs, including carbon and glass fibers, and analyzes their benefits, such as high specific strength, rigidity, and resistance to fatigue and corrosion. Applications of these materials in aircraft structures, notably in the Antonov An-74, exemplify their role in reducing weight while improving performance. Despite their advantages, PCMs are susceptible to defects that can compromise their integrity. This work emphasizes the need for further investigation into the classification and prevention of these defects to promote the broader adoption of PCMs in aerospace applications, ensuring safer and more efficient aircraft designs in the future.
