Expert Evaluation of Serial Interfaces Effectiveness for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Onboard Networks
摘要
The technology of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) construction has made dramatic progress in effective monitoring, surveillance, and performing various tasks in civilian and military applications. A standardized network’s technical efficiency is not always considered when exchanging data in the UAV onboard network. Objectives: to analyze modern methods of organizing onboard networks of UAV avionics and compare the selected onboard information networks following the model and the list of preferred networks and their protocols. Results: an expert model with modern and the most widespread onboard networks was selected. Conclusions: the two most common and practical models, I2C and CAN, were recommended for UAV avionics, and the authors developed the “Boryviter”/“Falco” onboard computer.
