Temporal Bone Fracture
摘要
Some cases of head trauma cause skull fractures, and some of these skull fractures involve the temporal bone. Depending on the pattern of the temporal bone fracture, a variety of symptoms can occur, including facial weakness, hearing loss, and disequilibrium. Acute care often involves a trauma surgeon, otolaryngologist, and neurosurgeon. Almost all patients undergo imaging (such as a temporal bone CT and a brain MRI). Longer-term care may involve an audiologist and vestibular rehabilitation therapy.
