Musical Hallucinations
摘要
Musical hallucinations (MH) are “hearing music that’s not really there.” This can happen to people with hearing loss, in some psychiatric illnesses and in some neurological illnesses, though the mechanism of disease is unknown. If musical hallucinations are not bothersome, then some patients elect not to intervene. If musical hallucinations are bothersome, then some practitioners will consider treatment with medications or referral for psychological counseling.
