What qualifies someone to be President? It might seem like little more than an Electoral College vote, but candidates often share their past job experience with us when debating. Action statements are when candidates talk about their past experiences, jobs, or roles in the hope that this qualifies them for high office. What we have to do is examine these statements to see if the job, role, or life experience connects to the Presidency, or if it is a real stretch to match up the qualifications.
