The article is devoted to the development of a physical method of simplified calculation of the live section of trapezoidal main channels of a satisfactory profile. The purpose of the study is to improve the method of determining the hydraulic parameters of the channel based on the hydraulically favorable profile of the section and the minimum limit value of the water filling depth. To do this, depending on the relative width from the bottom of the channel with different slope coefficient, the characteristics of its live cross-sectional area and average water flow were analyzed in comparison with the hydraulically most favorable cross-section profile. The change in the relative width, corresponding to the permissible decrease in the average flow rate and slope coefficient of the channel intervals, is analyzed. The hydraulic parameters of the semi-circular channel, accepted as a reference version of the comparison, were used to determine the level of suitability of the hydraulic parameters of the channel section for the given intervals. Since the semicircular channel is hydraulically more favorable than the trapezoidal channel under the same initial conditions, it has the smallest working section and the output parameters do not change. Also, the corresponding hydraulic parameters of the trapezoidal and semicircular channels calculated for the same flow rate were compared. From the point of view of construction technology and hydraulics, a simple calculation method for calculating hydraulic parameters has been developed for intervals corresponding to the relative width of the channel with a satisfactory cross-section profile from below. A method for calculating the parameters of a trapezoidal channel based on the hydraulic parameters of a semicircular channel is also proposed. On the basis of this method, knowing the hydraulic radius of the semicircular channel or the average speed of the water flow, using the corresponding ratio on the slope coefficient, it is possible to easily calculate the satisfactory hydraulic parameters of the trapezoidal channel based on the proposed method.

摘要
