Nowadays the problem of network protection and attack prevention is a very important and time-consuming process. Criminals and hackers are constantly improving their methods of attacking information systems. This creates the need to develop effective audit methods to identify potential threats and risks. One of the main challenges of auditing large networks is the need to comprehensively analyze the entire infrastructure to identify potential problems, risks and weaknesses. The paper examines the peculiarities and weak points of information communication audit and proposes a modification of the network audit procedure. The purpose of this work is to improve the quality and speed of information communication audit. The object of the study is the audit process of the information communication network. Modification of standard audit methods through the use of software is a promising and effective approach, as it allows to ensure a high level of accuracy and eliminate the risks of human error. The experiment showed a 4% reduction in the probability of error and a 34% reduction in audit time, and therefore the use of the modified method demonstrates a great potential for automation in the field of auditing. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the creation of an improved method of auditing information communication networks, which differs in the method of collecting and analyzing information and allows to speed up and improve the quality of the audit. The implementation of a modified method of information communication audit using software led to positive results.
