It was also proved that “the selection of land use after the mine closure is a difficult decision, which is further complicated because of the variety of parameters”. Nonetheless, there are uncertainties in evaluating parameters that are based on expert knowledge. This underscores the crucial role of experts in the decision-making process. As it is mentioned in existing literature, a lot of factors in this situation that substantially affect the verdicts. Other parameters whose values are not known are involved in the decision-making process. Making decisions in a fuzzy setting is made easier using fuzzy decision-making. Fuzzy or vague data has no place in classical decision-making procedures which only function with conventional or accurate data. Therefore, it can be noted that in fuzzy methods, the certainty of the correctness of the information is not taken into account. In this regard, a new approach is needed. Therefore, Z-number-based MADM (ZMADM) is considered more effective than MADM. This article examines the issue of ZMADM.
