Zika, though primarily known for neurological impacts, also exhibits renal involvement, with viral persistence in renal tissue and evidence of tubular and glomerular damage. This chapter explores the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and current scientific understanding of how these viruses affect kidney function, emphasizing the need for early detection and supportive treatment. Although antiviral therapies are not yet available, preventative measures like vaccines and vector control are crucial in managing the spread and impact of these diseases.
