Active Aging
摘要
The framework of active aging gained importance in positive gerontology in the 2000s. The novelty was contesting the traditional view that associates the oldest stage of life with inactivity. World Health Organization published the policy framework for active aging. The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) initiated the Active Aging Index project. Subsequently, several suggestions were made about how to translate the active aging policy goals to pertain to individuals living their lives. Finally, this chapter presents a quantifiable active aging assessment tool pertaining to individuals.
