We are witnessing a growing trend where traditional subject boundaries are being eliminated and the connections between disciplines are being highlighted. It starts out with the “Big History” concept introduced by Bill Gates that focuses on interdisciplinary education. Following this, I introduce some novel ideas for lesson plans that were suggested in a creative thinking course at the Faculty of Education, Bar-Ilan University that also focus on integrating disciplines and creative thinking exercises to foster deeper understanding and innovation. Activities include innovative ways for analyzing texts, learning about geography, reimagining products for multiple uses, categorizing and prioritizing ideas, interpreting songs through diverse methods, and brainstorming marketing concepts—all aimed at enriching the learning experience. This approach aims to provide students with a more comprehensive understanding of the world. Some of these showcase approaches we have previously explored or will be discussed in further detail later.
