Performance-Driven Design Approach: A Case Study
摘要
This chapter introduces a workflow for a performance-driven design process, considering both microclimate regulation and human comfort (Chap. 3 ) and stormwater retention (Chap. 4 ) as key environmental parameters for climate adaptation. An urban case study is included to better explain the approach step by step, present research results, and derive design recommendations, including best-performing design strategies. The presented approach demonstrates how nature-bases solutions can be selected and designed based on measurable Key Performance Indicators, offering a practical and applied perspective. Design considerations are provided starting from the application of the workflow on the selected case study, and related conclusions are drafted.
