Automatic storage and retrieval play a crucial role in automated warehouses handling numerous orders with limited timeframes. This paper introduces a cable robot management system through an optimization procedure leveraging from Genetic Algorithm to enhance operational efficiency. The proposed protocol optimizes cable robot movements and minimizes order fulfillment time, thereby maximizing throughput. Additionally, this method offers a universal solution applicable to various warehouse management systems by incorporating order list sorting and practical constraints in the optimization process. Some simulation and comparison results are provided showing the effectiveness of the proposed approach, which will be launched on a practical cable robot this year.
