User Interfaces (UIs) are the first point of interaction between humans and systems. Effective UI design can reduce errors, enhance task efficiency, and provide an enjoyable user experience. However, current software development cycles often prioritize technical requirements over user experience, leading to UIs that are functional but not intuitive. Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) is a well-known approach to automate the development of UIs. However, most of the solutions found are not capable of generating UIs for diverse contexts of use or taking in considerations diverse types of user or their needs. This article proposes an overview of a PhD research project that is motivated by this limitation. To address the lack of user and context adaptation, we propose to combine an explicit user model, context model and presentation model with application models (such as the class diagram, state charts, etc.). To demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach, a proof of concept will be developed based on the tools associated to the MERODE methodology.

摘要
