This chapter tracks the evaluation of the consultancy offered to a health and employment training project in Soweto, South Africa (SA). The health project was commissioned by a government-owned development finance institution in SA wishing to expand its funding to health and social projects. The chapter describes the context of the project before exploring evaluative aspects of the consultancy that the author delivered while on the project. The significance of stakeholders, their needs, varied engagement levels, and the interaction of these with the consultancy activities on the project are also explored. A final section considers the author’s reflections regarding the consultancy offered to the client.
