In collaboration with a rapidly expanding marketing automation technology firm, our consultancy aimed to enhance employee retention by addressing the client’s employee health and wellbeing needs. Our innovative Consultancy-in-Practice Model, detailed in this chapter, highlights the significance of preparatory work via a Discovery Needs Assessment, which underpinned the success of the consultancy implementation and subsequent evaluations. We identified key priority areas by engaging with the client to understand their goals and scrutinising data. We recommended comprehensive services to support the client’s employees’ physical, mental, social, and financial health and suggested operational improvements. Strategic impacts, knowledge transfer sessions, and client satisfaction measure the consultancy’s success. The latter part of the chapter focuses on the evaluation of consultancy, which includes (1) process evaluation (an ongoing process throughout); (2) outcome evaluation, for which we can state that all recommendations were adopted, and finally; (3) reflective evaluation, for which we sought feedback from the client and evaluated our project management, performance and capabilities.

摘要
