AI Acts in Africa: A Descriptive Exploration of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Logistics Across African Nations—Unraveling Innovations, Challenges, and Socioeconomic Impact
摘要
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing industries worldwide, and its applications in logistics are of particular significance for the African continent. This study explores the adoption and impact of AI in the logistics sector across various African nations, aiming to identify the innovations driving efficiency and the challenges impeding progress. Utilizing a mixed-method approach, the research draws on case studies, surveys, and existing literature to assess how AI is reshaping logistics operations and contributing to socioeconomic development. Key findings reveal that while AI offers substantial benefits, such as improved supply chain management and cost reductions, barriers like infrastructure limitations and regulatory challenges persist. The study also highlights the broader socioeconomic implications, including potential job displacement and enhanced access to goods and services. These insights are crucial for policymakers and industry stakeholders looking to leverage AI for sustainable development in Africa.
