This study investigated the correlation between the consumption of unhealthy food and individuals’ patterns of expenditure on food. A cross-sectional survey was conducted online with 138 participants. The survey collected data on participants’ food consumption habits, expenditure on food, and demographic information. The data was analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The findings of the study indicate a statistically significant correlation between the consumption of un-healthy food and individuals’ expenditure patterns. The correlation was strongest for individuals who reported consuming junk food daily. The findings of the study could be used to help people make healthier food choices and save money on food.
