Building on previous chapters related to elite networks, censorship policies enacted, Christopher Rufo news discourse, and mainstream news related to education censorship, school board influence is the next step in this process. A recap of these systemic and coordinated levels of influence are detailed. Next, an overview of school board processes, elections, and a glimpse at school board action related to book bans is provided. From there, a case study examination encompasses six school board meetings and 207 public comments in response to a proposed equity resolution policy.
