The objective of this chapter is to examine the functioning of industrial symbiosis networks (ISN) as a complex system, with a particular emphasis on the presentation of organisational design and collaborative dynamic interactions among its participants. It presents the aspects of circular entrepreneurship and the main foundation of the circular economy, which underlie the aspects of collaboration of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in industrial side-stream settings. The research draws on a single-case study from the agri-food sector in Poland and indicates different strategies for designing industrial symbiosis structures, circular products and processes. The originality of the chapter lies in the demonstration of the viability and feasibility of the functioning of symbiotic networks obtained through the leveraging of value-retaining effects methods.

摘要
