A 5G antenna for New Radio (NR) n78 band is designed and presented in this paper. The antenna is made from a rectangular patch antenna where a T-shaped slot is made on the radiator. Another two symmetrical slots are made on radiator towards the bottom side where the feeding strip is connected. A partial ground with a slot is used in this design. The antenna used FR4 material as dielectric substrate. The dimensions and position of the slots are varied to tune the operational band. The designed antenna operated at 3.5 GHz with return loss of −27.5 dB. The overall operational band of the 5G antenna covered band from 3.1 GHz to 4.48 GHz with bandwidth of 1380 MHz. The proposed antenna covered the required n78 band and operates at 3.5 GHz 5G applications.
