GJO-Pattern Search Algorithm Based DG and Capacitor Placement in Distribution Network with Zone Based Installation of EVCSs
摘要
Electric vehicles (EVs) serve a significant role in supporting sustainable development. Their adoption is consistent with numerous fundamental aims of sustainable development, including lowering greenhouse gas emissions, reducing dependency on finite fossil fuels and imported oil, and improving energy security. EV charging stations (EVCSs) in radial distribution networks (RDNs) raise particular issues. Proper coordination of optimally placed distributed generations (DGs) and capacitors integrated with EVCSs can mitigate the effects of increased active power loss, a decline in voltage stability margin, deterioration in voltage profile, and a worsening in network dependability caused by EVCSs integration. The distribution test systems are divided into different zones. The location-based installations of EVCSs technique ensure effective coverage of EVs and reachable EVCSs infrastructure across the networks. Subsequently, the Golden Jackal Optimization-Pattern Search (GJO-PS) algorithm, a novel meta-heuristic optimization method, is applied to identify the optimal locations for reactive power compensation devices and DGs. This approach is tested on 33-bus and 69-bus RDNs, with simulation results analyzed under various test scenarios.
