In 1834, the first non-rechargeable battery-operated electric vehicle (EV) was built by scientist Devenport. A new revolution in electric vehicles (EVs) has emerged after the invention of lead-acid rechargeable batteries. In India, the first EV was launched in 2002 which is low power and based on separately excited DCM. Globally as the population is increasing the usage of internal combustion (IC) vehicles can result in severe air pollution. So globally there is a revolutionary increase in the electrification of transportation systems and the emerging technologies in EVs. However, this chapter discusses new trends and emerging technologies of EVs integrated with smart energy systems and optimized by artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. This work looks into the issues of integrating EVs with smart energy systems and provides the enhanced applications of integrated into EVs along with smart energy systems.

摘要
