Modeling the Change in Pest Insect Population
摘要
This work is devoted to modeling the change in the population of insect pests in space and time, taking into account the nonlinear dependence of the diffusion coefficient on the population density. A quasilinear parabolic equation is used to describe the population dynamics in the presence of diffusion and logistic growth. To analyze the initial and boundary conditions, a method based on a two-sided estimate is proposed, which allows us to determine the interval in which the solution of the equation is located depending on the population density. The results of the work can be useful for predicting the dynamics of the population of insect pests and developing effective strategies for their control.
