Government in Plurinationality and Interculturality: The Case of the City of Quito
摘要
This document addresses collective rights and the constitution of plurinational and intercultural governments, specifically focusing on the city of Quito, the capital of Ecuador. It analyzes perspectives on interculturality in the city, centered around the struggle against inequality and the social justice of historically excluded groups. The document considers approaches rooted in different epistemologies, reflecting the viewpoints of various social, political, and academic organizations. It invites reflection on intercultural cities built upon the foundation of respect for the different forms of social, territorial, and community organization of the various population groups living within them. The goal is to move away from the traditional, patriarchal model and toward the construction of a plurinational and intercultural government at all levels. In this framework, development opportunities with equal conditions for all inhabitants are promoted, respecting and encouraging their unique characteristics and aiming for their complementarity.
