摘要
This study examines the patterns of Internet use and perceptions of digital evolution among young adults in a highly digitalized world. Focusing on behaviors, preferences, and expectations regarding online activities and emerging technologies. By exploring these dynamics, the study contributes to understanding how digital tools shape the lives of young individuals and influence societal trends. The findings reveal that smartphones and laptops are the most commonly used devices for internet access, often used together. The majority of respondents spend between 2 to 8 h online daily and report limited comfort living without internet access for more than a day, underscoring the internet’s integral role in their daily lives. Social media, music streaming, and information searches are the most frequent online activities, with Instagram and WhatsApp emerging as the most frequently used platforms. The participants exhibit strong optimism for the integration of artificial intelligence, biometric authentication, and augmented/virtual reality in future websites, while perceptions about voice/movement interaction and ubiquitous internet access reflect mixed confidence.
